Morning shifts

I’ve got two whole morning shifts. So it was an early morning. It also snowed all last night. Those working with snow plowing got themselves a busy morning.

About an hour ago it started snowing again heavily. I guess the snow plow drivers will have a full day and then some.

On Sunday we will be in Åbo (Turku in Finnish) for a dog show. And on Monday it’s back to normal work…

My abbsence

I have been absent from the blogosphere for almost a week now. I have a good explanation. I had 6 days off from work. The Burning Crusade was released on Tuesday. A lot of things happen in my IRL-life sometimes. It’s still business as usual.

I have been complaining a lot about our absent winter. The fall is definitely over. We’ve got a few decimetres of snow and it’s -17 C. It’s winter.

Snow

There’s a little bit of snow on the ground. It’s not much, maybe an inch but it looks like winter and it’s not melting away =).

Puppy photographing

Tomorrow we are going to see a puppy (well it’s actually about 7 months old) and takes lots of pictures. But we sent both of our cameras memory cards away for development. No problems, we’ll buy another memory card the next time we’ll go shopping before we see the puppy. Yesterday we were thinking about going shopping, we didn’t because we’ll have all the time on Saturday (today).

There is a problem, today is not only Saturday, it’s Epiphany. It’s a red day in the calendar, a Holiday. No stores are open that sell memory cards to digital cameras. Only small grocery stores are open and we happen to live 5 minutes from the only 24/7 supermarket in tow. Unfortunately that doesn’t help much; I’ve seen single-use cameras, batteries and films on their shelves but that’s about it.

But no worries, I have this old memory card; I think it was 16 MB or was it 8, worst case scenario it’s 4. Anyone who has photographed puppies knows that they move a lot. I’ll be deleting a lot of pictures as I photograph…

Good Morning

I wish you a Good Morning everyone this early Saturday morning. I got 4 morning shift which means I have to get up a 6 in the morning Saturday (today), Sunday, Monday and Tuesday…

Last evening shift

I have the last evening shift now for a couple of weeks. That means I can return to a normal social life tomorrow =).

Back at work

Rome was great, a bit expensive but I would like to go there some day again. Anyway, New Years Eve was calm, we just got back from our trip so it was spent quietly with some sausages and potato salad at one of my girlfriends friends place. Then we just drove around watching fireworks.

I’m back at work now, 4 evening shifts…
